Tambuwal’s media office: APC resorted to attacks — they can’t defend their failures

...asks APC to stop attacking critics

Aminu Tambuwal
  • He said Tambuwal’s “itinerant defections” from one party to another were driven by “stomach infrastructure”.
  • The statement added that as “one of the founding fathers” of the APC, Tambuwal “demonstrated an unassailable record of selflessness and patriotism”.

The media office of Aminu Tambuwal, former Sokoto governor, urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to fulfill its campaign promises instead of criticizing opponents.

Tambuwal stated that no conscientious politician would join the APC, adding that those defecting are motivated by “stomach infrastructure.”

Tambuwal, a former House of Representatives speaker, noted that the country’s economic crisis makes APC membership unappealing.

Felix Morka, APC spokesperson, described Tambuwal as a “notorious and vainglorious party defector” who should not criticize those joining the APC.

Morka claimed Tambuwal’s party switches were driven by “stomach infrastructure.”

Tambuwal’s media team responded, stating that Morka’s comments aim to silence opposition voices and divert attention from the country’s deepening crises.

“Rather than addressing economic hardship, insecurity, and governance failure, the APC resorts to cheap propaganda and personal attacks — a tactic that underscores its desperation and leadership failure.”

Tambuwal’s warning serves as a call to Nigerians to reject opportunistic politics and prioritize leadership with integrity, principle, and vision.

The APC’s claim that recent defections result from President Tinubu’s economic reforms is misleading and insulting to Nigerians facing unprecedented hardship.

Under this administration, inflation has surged, and insecurity has worsened, turning homes and highways into danger zones.

Unemployment rates continue to rise, with businesses shutting down, leaving many in despair and deepening poverty.

As an APC founding father, Tambuwal demonstrated selflessness and patriotism.
