Grok 3 will initially be available to Premium Plus subscribers on X, utilizing significant computational power from the Colossus supercomputer
xAI, owned by American tech billionaire Elon Musk, is set to launch its latest chatbot, Grok 3, which some have called the “smartest AI on Earth.”
According to a post on Musk’s official X page (formerly Twitter), Grok 3 was trained on synthetic data. The chatbot is designed to improve its reasoning by analyzing previous mistakes and verifying data for logical accuracy.
The flagship AI product, which Musk says will be unveiled in a demonstration today, Monday, at 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time (0400 GMT), aims to compete in a market dominated by established players like OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
“Will be honing product with the team all weekend, so offline until then,” Musk wrote on X.
Last year, xAI secured $6 billion in funding based on an $18 billion pre-money valuation, signaling significant progress in the AI sector.
This investment round highlights strong investor confidence in Musk’s ambitious AI venture, granting investors a 25% stake in the company.
With this additional funding, xAI’s total financing now stands at $12 billion. In November, CNBC reported that xAI was targeting a market valuation of $50 billion, doubling its worth from six months earlier.
