He reportedly recently held a closed-door meeting with APC zonal leaders in Anambra South, where he allegedly criticized 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, describing him as lacking strong leadership qualities.

Among those vying for the Labour Party’s governorship ticket are John Nwosu and former Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority, Dr. George Moghalu.

Ozigbo initially joined the Labour Party in August 2022, following his departure from the PDP.
