- The board has warned that any establishment defying the directive will face strict penalties
The Hisbah Board in Nigeria’s Katsina State has ordered the closure of all nightclubs, citing the need to uphold Islamic principles and moral values.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Commander-General Dr. Aminu Usman (Abu Ammar) emphasized that the move aims to curb immoral activities and address security concerns within the state.
“We are committed to building a morally upright society and ensuring peace and security in Katsina State,” Dr. Usman stated.
The board has warned that any establishment defying the directive will face strict penalties. Security agencies have been instructed to enforce full compliance with the order.
This initiative aligns with Hisbah’s broader efforts to ensure residents lead lives consistent with religious and moral standards.
