  • The patrol team stopped a speeding motorcycle carrying a civilian and the soldier, leading to a heated confrontation

A Nigerian soldier, identified as Chiko Godspower, has reportedly stabbed two vigilantes in Delta State, resulting in one death.

The incident occurred on February 3 in the Udu area during a routine patrol by local vigilantes. The patrol team stopped a speeding motorcycle carrying a civilian and the soldier, leading to a heated confrontation.

Although the initial dispute was resolved, a subsequent encounter an hour later escalated when the same soldier allegedly attacked the vigilantes, fatally stabbing one in the neck and injuring another.

The injured vigilante is receiving medical treatment, while the deceased was pronounced dead at the scene.
