Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has appointed Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, the first son of the national leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-political group, as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
The appointment was announced just hours after Aiyedatiwa was sworn in as the 7th democratically elected Governor of Ondo State.
In a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, in Akure, the state capital, it was confirmed that Dr. Fasoranti, before his new role, served as Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board. He hails from Akure South Local Government Area.
Governor Aiyedatiwa also approved the reappointment of Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac as Commissioner for Finance.
Additionally, the following individuals have been reappointed as Special Advisers to the Governor:
Engr. Johnson Alabi – Power
Dr. Seun Osamaye – Women Affairs
Comrade Bola Taiwo – Union Matters & Special Duties
Prof. Simidele Odimayo – Health
Furthermore, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, Engr. Abiola Olawoye, has been elevated to the position of Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing.
According to the statement, all appointments take immediate effect.
Governor Aiyedatiwa urged the new appointees to hit the ground running and ensure the delivery of effective and efficient services to the people of Ondo State.
