Rivers Assembly to probe Chief Judge over alleged age falsification


The Rivers State House of Assembly says it will initiate a probe into allegation of age falsification against the state Chief Judge, Justice Simeon Amadi.

The state assembly disclosed that plans are in motion to investigate the allegation.

The development adds a fresh layer of controversy and conundrum to the ongoing political crisis in the state.

The Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike and Governor Similayi Fubara have been locked in a bitter political rivalry over who controls the oil rich state.

Wike, during a press briefing on Wednesday, hinted that Fubara could be impeached.
