  • The command reaffirmed its dedication to improving personnel’s proficiency in firearms handling, demonstrating commitment to building a highly skilled security team.
  • The refresher course covered drills on firing stances, firearm usage basics, and key principles of accurate shooting to enhance personnel’s effectiveness.

The Anambra state commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) arranged refresher training on handling firearms to enhance the expertise of its personnel.

During the session, the state commandant, Maku Olatunde, emphasised the necessity of correct and secure weapon handling, cautioning that even a minor mistake could lead to fatal consequences.

In a press release on Saturday, the command’s Head, Media and Tactical Operations, Okadigbo Edwin, mentioned that the refresher training aimed to improve personnel’s shooting accuracy and firearm skills.

He stated that the training initiative was designed to fulfil the overarching objectives of the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Audi, to develop competent, courageous, and proficient civil defenders.
