Simon Lalong, the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, stated on Friday that Plateau State will have a place of pride if Bola Tinubu is elected President of Nigeria after the 2023 elections.

The Plateau State Governor stated this while expressing confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will retain power at all levels following the general elections in 2023.

In a statement issued through his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr Makut Macham, Lalong stated that the people are loyal and dedicated to the APC due to the administration’s various projects and programs.

WITHIN NIGERIA has learned that Lalong stated this during a meeting with the party’s stakeholders and supporters on Friday in Shendam, his hometown, where he went to celebrate the Yuletide.

Lalong, a senatorial candidate for Plateau South Senatorial District, assured Nigerians that the Tinubu-Shettima ticket would benefit all Nigerians.

Tinubu and Shettima will work for all Nigerians and also ensure that there is equity, justice and fairness in the distribution of resources of the nation, he said.

According to him, his appointment as the APC campaign Director-General shows that the Shendam people and Plateau, in general, will already have a place of pride if Tinubu is elected president.

Lalong stated that his visit is an opportunity for further engagement with stakeholders while also sensitizing the public about the party’s goodwill in the upcoming elections.

Lalong charged the citizens to vote for APC at all levels and not to fall prey to the gimmicks of the opposition, saying, “they are making promises without any record of performance”.

Miskoom Alex Naantuam, Chairman of Shendam Local Government Council, pledged that stakeholders would vote for APC at all levels because of the quality of candidates and their ability to deliver.
