  • Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk expressed confidence that Victor Osimhen will remain at the club until the season’s end despite transfer rumors
  • Buruk emphasized Osimhen’s happiness at Galatasaray, urging focus on performance rather than transfer speculations as the January window approaches

Galatasaray head coach, Okan Buruk, has expressed confidence that Victor Osimhen will remain at the club until the end of the season despite mounting rumours surrounding the striker’s future ahead of the January transfer window.

Osimhen, currently on loan from Napoli, has a break clause in his agreement that could allow him to leave Galatasaray mid-season.

However, Buruk assured fans that the Nigerian international is happy at the club and has committed to staying.

“I believe Osimhen will remain with us until the end of the season,” Buruk said. “He is content here and desires to continue with us. He has no intentions of leaving during the mid-season break.”

The coach further revealed his aspirations for Galatasaray to permanently sign the Super Eagles star at the end of his loan spell.

“I would love for Osimhen’s transfer to become permanent, both as a technical director and as a fan,” Buruk stated. “Our club’s leadership shares this desire, but it is too early to discuss this in detail. The focus should remain on the ongoing season, and the player’s peace of mind is paramount.”

Buruk emphasized allowing Osimhen to concentrate on his performance rather than being distracted by transfer speculations.

“We should not pressure the player or prematurely bring this issue to the forefront. This is also important from an economic perspective. Decisions from the club and the player can be made later in the season.”

Buruk also admitted his admiration for Osimhen, noting that the striker’s exceptional talent has drawn attention from top clubs worldwide.

As one of the most sought-after forwards in football, Osimhen’s future remains a topic of interest. Still, he appears committed to helping Galatasaray achieve their goals this season.
