Duration of Degree Programme
The Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) program must last a minimum of 10 semesters. Direct entrance candidates with ND/NCE and similar degrees must complete a minimum of 8 semesters, whereas those with HND degrees must complete a minimum of 6 semesters.

A candidate must meet the following basic requirements in order to be admitted to any of the University’s first-degree programs:
1. The Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or its equivalent, with at least two sittings and credit level passes in five (5) subjects. Additionally, the applicant must pass the UTME, the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
2. Candidates must have at least five (5) O/L credits, two of which must be at the Advanced Level or approved equivalents, in order to be admitted by direct entry into the 200 level.
Department-specific Entrance Requirement

All applicants seeking admission to any of the Osun State University’s postgraduate programs must have a minimum of 5 credits, comprising English Language and four other relevant subjects, achieved at no more than two sittings unless otherwise specified. Candidates holding “O” Level Examination results from up to 2017 must produce original copies of their certificates for screening because Statements of Results and/or Result Slips are not accepted.
Candidates applying for master’s degree programs in the academic field must have earned at least a Second Class (Lower Division) in their undergraduate studies. Candidates for Ph.D. admission must earn a Master’s degree and have a minimum weighted average score of 60% or CGPA of 3.50.
